ICYMI: Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes have broken up yet again, making it the third time they’ve decided to call their epic relationship quits. Kelsea is ready to move on from Chase, but Chase is seemingly willing to do whatever it takes to keep making their relationship work, according to some insider sources.
“Kelsea and Chase have broken up again. It happened just the other day,” a source told Us Weekly on February 6. The country star is reportedly “taking it better” than the last two times she and Chase split up.
The source also revealed that Chase “still isn’t ready to give up” on making a relationship with Kelsea work, but she, on the other hand, is officially “done” with trying.
Things between Kelsea and Chase seemed to be smooth sailing at the beginning of last month. After reconciling following their second breakup, sources at Us Weekly revealed in early January that the now former couple was attempting to move “much more carefully and intentionally ... after a very messy breakup, they took real time apart to figure out what they actually wanted.”
The major conversation that the pair had “actually reminded them why they connected in the first place,” the Us insider said, noting that Kelsea and Chase were “keeping things more private” in the months ahead.
“They want to protect what they’re rebuilding and avoid outside noise or pressure,” the source continued. “It’s still early, but they are rebuilding trust and better communication. They are hopeful their relationship will work in a healthier way than before.”
Given the fresh breakup news, this part is truly crazy to hear but: The source at the time said that Kelsea has told friends that Chase “is her soulmate.” Their circle of friends were “really happy” that they reconnected again and were “hopeful it will work out this time around.”
Things then got rather...interesting once the Grammys rolled around this month. Kelsea attended the awards show solo, but told Entertainment Tonight that their last breakup wasn’t as “dramatic” as it appeared. “I love him so much,” she said. “We’ve been together for quite a while now and done a lot of life together and he was with me getting ready today and he’ll be with me when we wrap. I love love and I believe it in it.”
But the very next day, Chase’s ex Madelyn Cline posted a photo of her and Kelsea laughing to her Instagram Story, which is certainly a choice in light of what we know now.
Call me crazy but...hoping Kelsea and Chase find their way to each other again!!
